FiveThirtyEight NFL predictions: https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/nfl-predictions-game/
(1) Go to the fivethirtyeight website, and sign in by selecting the "Sign in to compete" box in the lower right.
(2) For each game, predict the probability of one of the teams winning. For example, for the Arizona vs. Philadelphia game, if you think that Arizona has a 60 percent chance of winning, then move the circle to 60% in the direction of Arizona.
(3) Each week, there is a Thursday night game. You can predict the winner of that game or skip it. (If you don't do anything, the default prediction is each team has a 50 percent chance of winning.) You have to predict a winner for all of the other games (which are on Sunday and Monday), and you can't leave the forecast at 50 percent for any of those games.
(4) Once a game begins, you can't make a prediction for it. So make your predictions, at the latest, by Sunday morning. It would be better to do them on Friday or Saturday, though.
(5) You have to do this assignment every week (until near the end of the semester). I'm not sure yet how I will check that you've been doing it, but I will. The website saves all of your predictions, so you don't need to worry about showing me that you've done it right now. (It saves your predictions as long as you are signed in, so make sure that you are always signed in.)
(6) This will count as one or two quiz grades. As long as you do it, you'll get 100 percent. If your points total is in the top half of the class, then I'll give you some extra credit.
